Terms of Service
Last updated: April 8, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TrailMeta ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TrailMeta is a web application that extracts metadata from Salesforce orgs and produces structured markdown documentation optimized for consumption by AI platforms. The Service operates by connecting to your Salesforce org via standard APIs and reading schema-level metadata.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You must have authorization to access the Salesforce org you connect to TrailMeta.
- You are responsible for the security of your Salesforce credentials.
- You must comply with your organization's data policies when using TrailMeta.
- You must not use TrailMeta to extract data from orgs you do not have permission to access.
- You acknowledge that your use of TrailMeta must comply with Salesforce's Acceptable Use Policy and API Terms of Service.
4. Intellectual Property
- Your Data: You retain all rights to your Salesforce org metadata and the generated output files. TrailMeta claims no ownership over your data or the extracted documentation.
- Our Service: The TrailMeta application, code, design, and documentation are owned by TrailMeta. You receive a limited license to use the Service, not ownership of it.
5. Payment and Pricing
- Extraction-only tier: $15 per org extraction.
- AI enrichment tier: $15 base fee plus AI processing cost (variable, typically $5–65 depending on org complexity). The formula is: $15 + (estimated Gemini API cost x 1.1 x 1.4).
- AI processing costs are calculated and displayed before you confirm extraction.
- All sales are final. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis if the Service fails to produce usable output.
6. Limitations of Liability
- TrailMeta is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
- We do not guarantee completeness or accuracy of extracted metadata.
- We are not responsible for actions taken based on AI-generated analysis.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific extraction.
- We are not responsible for Salesforce API outages, rate limits, or authentication failures.
7. Prohibited Uses
- Accessing Salesforce orgs without authorization
- Attempting to extract record-level data through the metadata APIs
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service
- Using the Service to compete with TrailMeta commercially
- Reselling access to the Service without written permission
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via the application interface.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Massachusetts.
